SalesCrunch Top 50 Sales Blogs 2012

March 1st, 2011 by Sean Black 56 Comments

Here at SalesCrunch we follow well over 200 of the best sales blogs each day! This is obviously far too many for any normal human to filter and process. So when we saw Hubspot post their Top 100 Marketing Blogs using the new groups feature in Blog Grader last week we were super excited. We immediately decided to feed our list of 200+ blogs into the tool to generate the SalesCrunch Top 50 Sales Blogs. The list is generated according to the “Grade” in Blog Grader and is updated daily so the list is always accurate and up to date. The bios below the list are for the Top 50 as rated at the time we posted the list, so you can track progress over time.

Please note that we narrowed the list down to sales-specific blogs. But there are other folks out there writing great stuff that, while not 100% focused on sales, is essential to selling. We included two of our absolutely favorite must-reads below the list as honorable mentions: Both Sides of The Table and IdeaTransplant.

There are many ways to rate great blogs. Hubspot Grader’s algorithm uses a culmination of data like number of posts, traffic and post frequency, etc to determine its grade. Over the next few months we will be publishing a few more “SalesCrunch Top 50″ lists based on different criteria, so stay tuned.

I would suggest ranking the sites by using postrank. Postrank measures engagement by looking at inbound blog links, Facebook likes, diggs, friendfeed posts, tweets, retweets etc. and comes up with an overall ranking. That combined with the above Grader ranking would be a good look at traffic, seo and social engagement.
